J.R.R. Tolkien is perhaps best known for his classic works of fiction, The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, but he also wrote other tales that take place in the world of Middle-earth. These can be found in The Silmarillion, a treasure-house of legends that took place many years before. Connecting this work with The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings is Unfinished Tales. Of course, Middle-earth is not the only place that Tolkien wrote stories about, some are collected together in Tales from the Perilous Realm, and some are available separately too.
